At the Dunes of Dakhla hotel, you book your stay in a hotel where they want you to experience the atmosphere and the feeling of the authentic Morocco. You book your stay on a full board basis, including airport transfers, wifi, towels and bed linen.

You’re staying in a tent! But not just any tent: a tent in the dunes of Dakhla, with a very comfortable bed and a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
The chefs will do their best to let you experience the traditional flavours of Morocco! The menus are carefully composed and prepared.

More about Dakhla

Dakhla is a relatively small town with restaurants, shops, a market / night market and a doctor’s post plus hospital. Dunes of Dakhla hotel, or Dunes de Dakhla, is about 25 minutes drive from the town of Dakhla.

currency and methods of payment

You can pay with the Dirham and in many places you can also pay with your regular debit card. In Dunes of Dakhla hotel, you can pay with a master card, debit card or cash (in Dirham or Euro).

Arrival & departure

You are most likely to come to (dunes of) Dakhla by plane. You fly to Dakhla Airport (“VIL”). Royal Air Maroc has daily flights from Amsterdam and other European countries and at this airline, you can bring your boarding bag for free.  But keep in mind the maximum number of kilos and dimensions: 23kg, 220x40x40. If you want to fly from Paris (ORLY) you can fly directly without a stop-over at Casablanca.

You will be picked up from the airport and taken to the hotel.  For this you recognize the staff by the signs with the text / logo “Dunes de Dakhla”.

Kitesurfing at Dunes of Dakhla  – Spotguide

Get on the water, go on freeriding, do a downwinder and make progress. There is a surfing school with rental and teaching material from one of the sister hotels of the Dunes of Dakhla.

Note: from this hotel it is a short drive to the Dakhla lagoon and other spots to kitesurf in Dakhla.

Since Dunes de Dakhla / the Dunes of Dakhla hotel is the sister hotel ofDakhla Attitude, the facilities that Attitude offers are also accessible to Dunes of Dakhla hotel guests. Like:

Surfing A short drive away is a cool surf spot. In the front you can learn to surf on the white foam. In the back break waves of average 1.5-2.0 meters high.

Dakhla (city) trip Visit the town of Dakhla. Walk around the market and buy local delicacies.

Oyster farm Eat out at this authentic restaurant along the rugged coastline. For example, you can order a delicious tagine with seafood or surprise your taste buds with a fried fish with fresh vegetables from the local market. At the end of your visit, don’t forget to order a delicious Saharaoui tea.

Boat trip Let’s go on an excursion to Dragon Island. This island is still as complete as it has ever been found. Full of stones and beautiful shells (bring shoes!). Or, book the catamaran!

The accommodations are for the most part, made of materials that are locally available and manufactured. The ingredients of the meals come from the neighborhood, whenever this is possible.
