Kitesurf Boa Vista: doesn’t that sound a great kitesurf getaway? We’ll hook you up with an affordable, comfortable apartment. Your host on location is Bobby. She provides you with all the tips and tricks you’ll need and will make sure you’ll know all the best (surf)spots, pubs, cafés and restaurants.

You can also book your kitesurfing classes through us. We work together with a local school and you’ll be assured for the best price possible!

AccommodatiON

All our accommodations at Boa Vista are within walking distance of the kitesurf spot, the city center of the capital Sal Rei and the beach / beach bars.
Dimensions of the accommodations vary from 40m2 to 75m2. There is always a private shower and toilet available. And in our accommodations you have the possibility to prepare a small meal yourself.

We can accommodate families, friends, couples and (small) groups.

Please note: WiFi is not available in all accommodations.
In the SeaView and Basic ++ there is WiFi.

Pricing: €32,50 p.p.p.n. (based on double occupancy in a sea view or basic ++) (accommodation)
You can book a studio as well, about 10 minutes walk from the kitespot. Perfect for travelers alone. You can also book an apartment for 1-6 persons.
For example: the Basic++ has one or two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen.

All accommodations on Boa Vista are within walking distance of the kitesurfing spot (kitesurfing school) and the city center.

Whether you are looking for a relaxed holiday or an active adventure: Boa Vista has it all. Boa Vista offers a wide range of activities.

The color of the sea and the colors on the buildings, sometimes seem a bit Caribbean. As well as the atmosphere. Because there is a high no-stress level.

Sal Rei, the main town (capital) is beautiful by it’s simplicity and has a lot of affordable little restaurants and bars. Our kitesurf appartments on Boa Vista are just steps away from all the above.

payment and currency

On Boa Vista it is possible to pay with the Euro. But it is cheaper to pay with the CVE (Cape Verdean Escudo). You can use your normal bank card in the city centre. Then you go out for dinner with/at the locals and you and the other kitesurfers enjoy the live music.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE 

For your kitesurf trip to Boa Vista you need a visa. Are you flying with TUI to Boa Vista? Then you can arrange your visa after booking your flight: On the website of Tui you can search the FAQ on visa Cape Verde after which you follow the steps. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail. So you don’t have to do anything else but have your passport checked on arrival!
Once you arrive at Boa Vista (BVC) you will be picked up and taken to the accommodation, all free of charge! This is a 10 minute drive. During this trip you will also get answers to questions like “where can I withdraw money?” and “where is the supermarket”. On the island itself you can do everything on foot if you like. Walk to the kitesurf spot, the kitesurfing school and the beaches with restaurants and bars.

TIP: After arrival go directly to the supermarket to stock water: you can not drink from the tap.

Trips to various kite spots are recommended!

You can do this with a taxi, which costs about €10. In many cases, the driver will wait for you at the spot and then bring you back. You can also rent a car to kitesurf on the various kitesurfing spots that Boa Vista is rich to be able to kitesurf. Go for a 4×4! Our host on location helps you to rent a car.

There are several spots for kitesurfing on Boa Vista, including:

» Sal Rei. “Homespot” at school & storage Kite Kriol – Off-shore-wind – Walking distance of the accommodations – Flat water.

» Ponta Antonia. North-Eastern location – On-shore wind – 35 minutes drive away. Flat/ Chopp – Small waves

» Ervatao. Eastern exposure – Side-shore-wind – Flat / Chopp – Beautiful waves – Beautiful nature.

» Praia da Chaves. Wavespot (average 1-2.5 metres) – Lagoon (300 metres further) – Downwind to this spot possible

» Varandhina. South-Western location – Advanced spot – Side-offshore wind – Beautiful waves.

» Praia das Gatas . Small lagoon & Sea – Beginners and advanced.

To kitesurf at Boa Vista Sal Rei, where the accommodations are located, you can walk to the main spot which is within walking distance with kitesurfing school with rescue service (KiteKriol). There are no obstacles in or around the water at this spot. This spot is characterized by the flat water, the sandy beach and the offshore wind.

Unlike some other kitesurfing destinations in Cape Verde, kiting on Boa Vista is quiet on the water.

At Outbound we love our planet and I’m sure you do too.

Do you want to make your kite holiday to Boa Vista more sustainable? Bring your own bottle that you can refill with large 5L bottles from the supermarket so you can save a lot of small plastic bottles. Kindly refuse the straws in your drink.

The apartments are managed on location and rented by Bobby.
She works as much as possible with the locals living on Boa Vista. This is important in Cape Verde because this is a poor country where many foreign fortune seekers settle. As far as we are concerned, the money that tourism brings in should go to the locals as much as possible and not to the westerners. Take kitesurfing lessons at kiteschool KiteKriol; a school built from scratch.

OTHER THINGS ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY
Go out to dinner at local restaurants and have a drink at small bars. So your kitesurfing holiday on Boa Vista will be a special experience where you also get to know the country / culture a little bit.

Finally, towels are not washed daily. So if you do want clean towels on a regular basis, bring your own extra towels. Anyway for on the beach.
