More about Ilha do Guajirú

Ilha Do Guajirú is a small coastal town with a few hotels and pousadas along the coastline of the lagoon. The town of Itarema is a pleasant 20 min. drive from Ilha do Guarijú and has a wide range of restaurants, shops and a market. You could grab a taxi for just 20 – 30 Real (€6,-).

If you are feeling like steak and (cheap) cocktails; steakhouse Oasis is the place to be.

White Wind accepts credit- and debitcards, cash (Real) or online payment.
We advise you to always carry some cash with you in Ilha Do Guajirú.

arrival & departure

To get to Ilha Do Guajirú, Brazil you’ll have to fly into Fortaleza. KLM usually allows a 300 cm (or 118 inch) boardbag (instead of a suitcase) if it doesn’t exceed the 23 kg (50,5 lbs) limit (march 2018). If you’re flying with TAP you will have to pay extra to take a boardbag.

From Fortaleza airport it’s a 2,5 hour drive to the resort in Ilha Do Guajirú.

For an additional €150,- Outbound covers this transfer as well.

On an average day, the wind starts blowing at 11 in the morning and stays a steady 23 – 30 knots during the rest of the day. The windy season starts in june / july and ends in january.

Grab yourself a kayak and venture through the mangroves while waving at the many fisherman and gawking at all the wonderful small islands passing you by. Fancy a pizza? Visit the neighbours at 7Beaufort. If you enjoy shopping you are in luck: Ilho do Guajirú has a few awesome shops where you’ll find wetsuits and bikini’s made by Brazilian designers. Make sure you visit Itarema and have dinner at place to be Oasis. Make sure to make reservation so that Falk and Iany never have to waste any of the local and fresh ingredients by buying to much. The dogs that are running around the resort are former streetdogs and are very well taken care of. Make sure you’ll get your cuddles!
